Anyways, you're probably wondering what this blog will be about. Unfortunately, I have no clue. I can tell you that I am a pianist, planning to pursue my Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance this fall, and that I enjoy writing and would like to get my stories published one day. So my posts will probably involve those subjects. All in all, though, I guess I'm mostly looking for a place to reach out to other people, even one person, and experimenting with the web to do it. Now I sound like an extremely lonely person, but I assure you that's not why. I think the reasons I'm looking for a blog are (a) it will give me more practice writing, (b) I have several goals that I want to be held accountable for, and (c) I can have people read some of my work without going through the whole publishing process and get feedback on it. I probably won't be posting my stories up here, unless I'm lucky enough to get one posted online, but I think creative journaling for a public audience is a valid artistic pursuit.
I think that will do for an introductory post. I'm going to try to post as the whim hits me, or at least one post every weekend. I'll also have this linked up to my tumblr where I plan to reblog pictures or quotes I find particularly interesting or inspiring. I hope this turns into a worthwhile journey, and that you'll stick with me through the process.
